LAILO FARM SANCTUARY

Star and her best friend Moon were both used as dairy goats at a small hobby farm where their babies were taken away from them after a couple of days. Only when they came to LAILO, months later, were they reunited. Star, Moon and their babies were going to be euthanized because Moon tested positive for a goat virus called CAE. Though CAE can cause arthritis, pneumonia, chronic mastitis and weight loss, many goats can live long and happy lives with the virus. Some, including Star, remain asymptomatic. Star is a very gentle goat who loves attention. She is mother to Sky and Ragu.
