LAILO FARM SANCTUARY

Sky arrived at the sanctuary in September 2018 with her brother, Ragu, mother, Star, and three other goats, Moon, Raury and Socks. Star was used as dairy goats so Sky had been taken away from her when she was only a couple of days old. At LAILO, months later, they were reunited. Their entire goat herd was going to be euthanized because one of them tested positive for a goat virus called CAE. Though CAE can cause arthritis, pneumonia, chronic mastitis and weight loss, many goats can live long and happy lives with the virus. Some, including Sky, remain asymptomatic. Sky is a very sweet, gentle girl who enjoys playing with her brother and snuggling with the other goats.
