LAILO FARM SANCTUARY

Piper was bought as a pet but got scared and ran away at just ten weeks old. She was running at large in a residential neighbourhood for seven weeks before she was finally caught. She became wary of people because so many of them chased her when trying to catch her, but she also learned that they had food, so eventually she was lured into a baited trap. Piper arrived here in October 2019, terrified of humans. She still takes a while to relax around new people, and sudden sounds or movements startle her, but she has learned to trust us and will now even roll over for a belly rub. Piper is very bonded with Lucy's family as she was just a few months old when Lucy's daughters were born.
